Pap Boat

George II

A handraised pap boat, Sterling Standard (925‰ silver), fully hallmarked, London 1738. Due to the maker's mark being struck too shallow it is fairly worn but the visible remains suggest it to be that of William Soane. The underside is engraved with the peroid initial "H". Dimensions: 2.8cm (1.1ins) high at spout, 6.4cm wide x 11cm long (2.5ins x 4.3ins) measured across the top. Wonderful patina and in excellent condition.
