French Beaker
Paris 1819 - 1838
A fine example of an early 19th century wine beaker of traditional shape and classic proportions, made of 950‰ silver, fully marked. It consists of a chuck-spun corpus with a reeded, soldered cast edge or solid wire. For a spun object the beaker is unusually solid and has a well-balanced hand-held feel to it. Dimensions 10 cm (4.5 ins) high x 9cm (2.6 ins) widest diameter. Period initials engraved in Latin script. No dents or repair. The beaker is in a very good condition.
